I found this article on alternet.com and before I even read the article, I saw this picture (this culture jam) and it immediately caught my eye. This article (Mortgage Lenders Committed Massive Fraud and Now Wall St. Wants to Escape the Law, January 27, 2011 by Joshua Holland) is about how Bank of America broke into, stole, ripped off, etc. and in a lot of cases against the law. Bank of America, in the beginning of the article, "admitted to ripping off--and foreclosing on--soldiers deployed overseas, in violation of the law". This cultural jam did a really good job demonstrating, by adding just 5 letters to the logo, what Bank of America has (and is still) doing. The reason that the article gives is that Bank of America "got rich in the process". It goes with Charles Darwin's theory of Social Darwinism where it is the survival of the fittest. Bank of America not only wanted to stay on top and but also still have a lot of money. They wanted to be and have clients in the superstructure or the elite (Marx's theory).
